Happy Birthday Hartley!

In one short year, I have gone from this...

to this...

What a great day it was. I got to ride a pony.

My brother was afraid of the pony but I wasn't. I kept hugging it and pulling his hair. The pony didn't seem to mind. Grayson finally warmed up and grew to like the pony ALMOST as much as me.

I had alot of friends that came to celebrate with me. One special friend was Peyton. She played with me and helped take care of me while my mommy and my AWESOME auntie were setting up my carnival.

I had a bounce house and lots of games. My favorite though had to be my cake. This is my cake before I touched it.

And this is me after I destroyed it...

I love cake...I really love cake. You know what else I love...Presents.

What a great day. I can't wait to do this again next year!

Only a few more months until my party! Can you say "Dancy Dance!"

Easter

This year's Easter was a very busy one. We had a teacher inservice on Good Friday where we stuffed eggs for the primary Easter egg hunt on Saturday. I feel so blessed to work with wonderful people in my calling. The ladies that are my counselors are such great examples to me. Their testimonies strengthen me. I have awesome music leaders and the best teachers in any Primary. The children of the ward are such sweet spirits. So often I feel as if I woke up on the wrong side of the bed but seeing those little faces brighten each of my Sundays. So, I love doing these fun activities like the egg hunt for them. We had a great turn out. Almost all of our teachers showed up to help. We also had other volunteers that helped to make it a success. One particular volunteer thought that it would be fun to hide eggs in places out of the children's reach...or so he thought. To make a long story short, children discovered that they can scale the church wall. Nothing was going to keep them away from those eggs. Thanks for that Sam.

My sister and nephews came down for the weekend too. We had our traditional family egg hunt (participants from ages 17-29). Abby we missed you! I don't mean to brag but I'm an excellent seeker if I do say so myself. Well this year, as with most of late, there was hidden a money egg. After what seemed like a lifetime of searching, we were given hints (Hot/cold). It was narrowed down to the car. After some tussling, pushing, pulling, pinning, etc., Bradley spotted The Money Egg. With high spirits, he grabbed it only to have it stolen from him by his own wife...video to be posted on You Tube. So my winning streak comes to an end. Next year, Next year.

The joy of Easter baskets!
